Amazon sells nearly everything, but it rarely issues public promo codes the way most stores do. Saving there is less about finding a code and more about knowing where the discounts sit, because most of them apply at checkout on their own.

The one people miss most often is the clippable coupon. On many product pages, just below the price, there’s a small box offering a percentage or dollar amount off. It only counts if you tick it before adding the item to your cart.

Items you rebuy regularly are usually cheaper through Subscribe & Save, which takes a standing percentage off and more when several subscriptions arrive in the same month. Amazon Warehouse is worth a look for anything expensive: returned and open-box items are graded by condition and often cost noticeably less than new. Amazon Outlet carries overstock and clearance.

One habit saves more than any single deal: check who’s selling. The price on the main button comes from one seller, and the “Other Sellers” link under it sometimes shows the same item cheaper, or cheaper once shipping is counted.

If what you want isn’t urgent, the big drops land on Prime Day in summer, and again over Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
