Privacy Policy
Last updated October 25, 2026.
This policy explains what Famous Savings ("we", "us") collects when you use https://www.famoussavings.com, why, and what you can do about it. We have tried to write it in plain English.
The short version
We do not have user accounts, we do not ask you to register, and we never see your payment details. We collect very little: the ordinary records a web server keeps, and one cookie that lets you vote on offers without voting twice.
What we collect
Information you give us
If you email us, we have your email address and whatever you put in the message. We keep it to answer you and to look back at the conversation if you write again.
Information collected automatically
Like almost every website, our server records each request: your IP address, the page you asked for, the date and time, the page you came from, and your browser and operating system. These logs help us keep the site running, fix faults, and spot abuse.
We also count how many times each coupon or deal is clicked. That counter is a total, not a record of who clicked.
Cookies and similar storage
- Our session cookie. When you vote on an offer, we set a cookie containing a randomly generated identifier. Its only job is to stop the same browser voting twice on the same offer. It is not linked to your name, email or anything else about you.
- Local storage in your browser. We save which way you voted so the buttons look right when you come back. This stays in your browser and is never sent to us.
- Admin sign-in. Site administrators have a sign-in cookie. This does not apply to visitors.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. The site works fine without them, though voting will not remember you.
What we do not collect
We do not collect payment card details, bank details, government identifiers or any similar information. There is nothing to buy here, so we never need them. We do not knowingly collect anything from children under 13; if you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Other companies
Stores and affiliate networks
Our links to stores usually pass through an affiliate network, which records that the visit came from us so the store can pay a commission. These companies set their own cookies and follow their own privacy policies, which we do not control. Once you land on a store's website, that store's privacy policy governs what happens next.
Analytics and advertising
We may use analytics to understand which pages people find useful, and we may show adverts supplied by an advertising network. Where these are in use, those providers may set their own cookies and collect usage information under their own privacy policies.
Hosting
The site runs on servers we rent from a hosting provider, which processes data on our behalf in order to serve the site to you.
How we use what we collect
To run and improve the site, keep it secure, measure which offers are useful, answer your messages, and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers described above or where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Server logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted or overwritten. Voting records contain only a random identifier and a vote. Emails are kept as long as they are useful for correspondence.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to certain uses of it. Write to privacy@famoussavings.com and we will respond as the law requires. Because we hold so little, our usual answer is that we have nothing tied to you beyond server logs.
Residents of California, the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area and other regions with similar laws have specific rights under those laws, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell personal information as those laws define selling.
Do Not Track
Browsers send Do Not Track signals inconsistently and there is no agreed standard for responding to them, so we do not respond to them differently. We collect the same minimal information either way.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection, administrator passwords are stored hashed, and access to the server is restricted. No website can promise perfect security, but we hold so little personal information that there is little to lose.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
